Preface I don't have much previous experience with research projects. I have probably written one in my lifetime. Luckily, I was able to pick my research topic during that time as well. I generally am a fan of research projects as I like to research topics, take notes, find answers, and display my opinion on big topics. After struggling to find a topic for quite sometime I finally got around to picking one after our class discussion. Talking about the project in class really helps clarify the possibilities we have and requirements we must meet for this assignment. The topic that I have picked for my research project is mental health, specifically anxiety in teenagers and college students. I expand a lot on this topic in my Research Project: Exploring American Zeitgeist blog post assignment. I explore what communities are impacted the most, what i think and feel about this topic, what it makes me want to change, and more. I also do not have any experience with annotated bibliography. This topic is important because many people deal with mental health and its important to put a spotlight on it to help people feel accepted and to educate others who do not struggle with these problems. The genre for my research paper is informative. I want to inform people on how society today is generally increasing anxiety in today's world. I am using MLA citation format and citing my sources in text and fully in a bibliography at the end of my paper. My audience is everyone who struggles with anxiety and people who want to be informed on anxiety as a zeitgeist today.
